The internationally renowned saxophone quartet presents an exciting, spicy taste of the world of Argentinean Tango in a unique and inspiring performance of classic and new works. The much-awaited return concert from the colourful and hugely popular all-saxophone foursome will feature pieces by composers such as Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel, Gerardo Rodriguez and Fernando Lerman.

Since their formation in 2002 Nexas Quartet (Michael Duke, Andrew Smith, Nathan Henshaw and Jay Byrnes) have premiered countless new Australian

works and collaborated with the finest musicians, theatre and dance companies. At the forefront of chamber music, Nexas Quartet is focused on promoting the musical diversity of the saxophone by showcasing its versatility and ability to cross genres. In 2017 Nexas embarked upon a new collaboration with opera star Peter Colman-Wright, resulting in their Weimar-Era themed ABC Classic release Ballads of the Good Life. (4.5/5 from Limelight Magazine). Other recent highlights included appearing at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music (Townsville), Adelaide Cabaret Festival, performing Warren Barker's Capriccio for Sax Quartet and Wind Band at the Melbourne Recital Centre and Art not Apart (Canberra).

A Prelude in Tea is a Sunday afternoon concert series featuring a scrumptious afternoon tea served from 2:30 followed by a 3:30 concert performed by some of Australia's best and most exciting small ensembles. With the Streeton Trio, the Flinders Quartet, The Seraphim Trio and more, A Prelude in Tea concert is the perfect Sunday afternoon out!
