Marian Street Theatre for Young People presents THE PIED PIPER - SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN, running 21 September to 4 October 2014.
THE PIED PIPER, adapted by puppeteer Terry Ryan, is a contemporary retelling of a magical tale, set in an Australian wheat town where good rains have broken the drought and brought prosperity at last - and then rats! The PIED PIPER will entertain children during the School holidays playing from 21 September to 4 October at the Lighthouse Theatre, Macquarie University.
The leaders of the Ratpack; Matty, Ratty and Patty and their horde of rodent mates cause chaos and the Mayor's reward of $50,000 attracts some hilariously dubious characters - Scientist Sam, Rita the Rat-trapper and Bobby the Boxing Cat, but it is the mysterious Pied Piper who saves the town!
MSTYP creates quality theatre for children aged 3 -10 years, with great storytelling, original songs, music and puppetry. The production offers plenty of opportunities for children to participate and after the show they can meet the actors and learn a little bit more about the enchanting world of theatre.
