Sydney's premier improv theatre group is proud to announce a jam-packed month of hilarity in April at Giant Dwarf. Improv Theatre Sydney will present their own brand of behind-the-curtain comedy with ComedyITS and 2 very special chances for audiences to see Will Erimya's ITS Axel Cobretti Undercover for the Sydney Comedy Festival.
Improv Theatre Sydney performs long-form improvised theatre like no other company in the country - performing comedy plays in a genre or style, supported with suggestions from the audience. ITS are a group of young players with international improv theatre experience and comedy festival experience, with a community of students of over 500 people. ITS ensemble includes Whose Line Is It Anyway Australia cast members Steen Raskopoulos Bridie Connell, Tom Walker & Susie Youssef, National Theatresports Champions Edan Lacey, Kate Coates and Simon Greiner, and ITS Artistic Director Cale Bain was the improv director for the Whose Line Is It Anyway Australia and has directed and produced improv shows to some of the largest audiences of live improv around the world.

ComedyITS is the lovechild of Kyran Wheatley's hugely successful Comedyish and Improv Theatre Sydney. ComedyITS is a chance for Sydney's best stand-up comedians to try out their new material in front of an audience while the ITS ensemble play with this raw material live and uncensored to take that material to a whole new level!
Very lucky audience members will get to see their favourite professional comedians try out 5 -7 minutes of jokes that have never been heard before - this is a unique opportunity for comedy-lovers to not only get behind the scenes with comics as they try out their new material, but also to see how that material can soar with the hilarious expertise of the acclaimed Improv Theatre Sydney ensemble to back them up.
This special season of ComedyITS will see ITS Artistic Director and Whose Line is it Anyway Australia director, Cale Bain direct multi-award winning, hand-picked, local comics hit the stage with the ensemble, the results? Hilarity beyond measure that will be different for each and every performance!

Axel Cobretti, played by the chronically funny Will Erimya, is the coolest, slickest, hairiest undercover dude you ever did see. This world-famous super-detective has been struck by a mysterious tragedy and must come out of retirement to solve the case and save the world. Axel Cobretti never backs down and never leaves without solving the case and gettin' loose.
Originally conceived by two-time Cranston Cup winner and 2-time National Theatresports Champion, Simon Greiner, ITS Axel Cobretti Undercover is a 1970's-styled cop detective show that could go anywhere and will be showing for just 2 nights - with just one special show for the Sydney Comedy Festival on 29th April!
With input from the audience and the supporting play given by the award-winning Improv Theatre Sydney's ensemble, ITS Axel Cobretti Undercover is a different show every time - Axel can go anywhere, meet anyone and get into all manner of trouble as he battles to solve the case, all with the effortless, sexy cool of the world's greatest detective.
