EMPIRE's Sydney Season Extends thru March 2; Tickets on Sale Today

EMPIRE by Spiegelworld opened its return Sydney season at the Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park last week to glowing reviews. Due to popular demand, Spiegelworld is delighted to announce that 16 new shows have been added to the Sydney season of EMPIRE, with the hit show from New York now playing through until March 2, 2014.

Chris Hook of The Daily Telegraph said, "A repeat viewing is more breathtaking than the first." The Sydney Arts Guide said, "It's not often you walk out of a performance completely lost for words, but even those of the superlative variety fail to do justice to EMPIRE by Spiegelworld." The Sydney Morning Herald loved EMPIRE when it was in town in 2013 and this season is no different. Jason Blake said, "EMPIRE is one of the sharpest shows in the circus/vaudeville genre. Seeing it again after its Sydney debut last year, I found myself more entertained, and more impressed".

Presented in Spiegelworld's 700-seat antique spiegeltent, EMPIRE smashes the boundaries of circus, cabaret, vaudeville and burlesque, reinventing the genres for a 21st century audience. Featuring the sexiest, most daring artists from across the globe, the show had its world premiere season in New York City during the summer of 2012, where it was the first tented show ever seen in Times Square.

Tickets for the additional shows will go on sale at 9am today January 17, from www.ticketek.com.au.

Following the Sydney season, EMPIRE will move on to Melbourne with the season commencing on March 11 2014.
