Bernadette Peters Adds Third Sydney Concert, April 4

Due to overwhelming demand in Sydney, a third concert has been announced on Friday, 4 April. Performing a rich selection of Broadway songs from her extensive songbook, including standards, Rodgers & Hammerstein and Stephen Sondheim to name a few, Broadway's brightest star, Bernadette Peters will dazzle audiences this coming April , bringing her concert to Australia in a glamorous and magical evening of song with a full orchestra as only Bernadette Peters can do. Throughout her illustrious career, the Tony Award winning actress has amazed critics and audiences with her performances on stage and television, in concert and on recordings.

"I am very excited to be performing in Australia once again" says Ms. Peters. "I have so many great memories of my previous visits and of the warm and enthusiastic Australian fans".

Bernadette Peters recently starred on Broadway in the Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman critically acclaimed production of Follies. Prior to that, she starred opposite Elaine Stritch in the Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler Tony Award-winning masterpiece, A Little Night Music. She has received both the Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for her critically acclaimed performance in Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical Song and Dance. After that, she went on to earn a Tony Award, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for her starring role as Annie Oakley in one of Broadway's most popular musicals, the Tony-Award winning revival of Annie Get Your Gun.

Peters also has received Tony nominations for her electrifying portrayal of "Momma Rose" in Sam Mendes' record-breaking revival of Gypsy as well as for her role of "Dot" in Stephen Sondheim's Pulitizer Prize-winning musical, Sunday In the Park with George. She also received a Drama Desk nomination for her memorable "Witch" in Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods.

A Emmy-nominated performer of amazing versatility, Peters has starred in such television hits in the US, as SMASH, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty among others.

Bernadette Peters has over 17 film credits to her name and has received a Golden Globe Award for her memorable performance in Pennies from Heaven. Other notable film credits include The Jerk with Steve Martin, Silent Movie with Mel Brooks, Annie with Carol Burnett and Impromptu with Hugh Grant and Mandy Patinkin

Peters has recorded six solo albums including the Grammy Nominated Sondheim, Etc. Etc,; Bernadette Peters, Live At Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It); and Bernadette Peters Loves Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Bernadette Peters will make special appearances during A masterclass series to be conducted during the tour by her long time vocal coach, Adrienne Angel. Giving insights into successful vocal training. Adrienne has worked with other stage icons such as Cher, Mary Tyler Moore, Christine Baranski, Kenneth Branagh and Whoopi Goldberg.
