TO BE THE BEST, TRAIN WITH THE BEST

AMDA is a fully accredited, not-for-profit higher education institution devoted to training the actor, singer, and dancer for stage, film, and television.

There are two campuses of AMDA providing seven distinct certificate and degree paths: The AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts, Los Angeles, and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, New York.

The New York campus on the prestigious Upper West Side of Manhattan offers certificate programs - and the opportunity to complete a bachelor's degree by attending both the New York and Los Angeles campuses.

A RICH HISTORY

Founded in 1964, AMDA pioneered the innovative concept of training actors, singers and dancers to be triple threats: Actors learn to sing and dance; Singers learn to act and dance; Dancers learn to act and sing. More than a half century later, AMDA continues to create innovative and unique performing arts programs in response to the ever-changing needs of the entertainment industries.

AMDA's relevant education prepares students for success. During the past three years, over 60 alumni have appeared on Broadway, with many other alumni starring in television and in films throughout the world, and dancing on the world's premiere stages. AMDA's faculty is comprised of professionals working in their respective fields who act as mentors to the students; thus building professional connections while attending school.
