The team behind The 13-Storey Treehouse and The 26-Storey Treehouse returns for a special live-stage family event, the Adelaide premiere season of The 52-Storey Treehouse from Tuesday 19 July to Sunday 24 July in the Dunstan Playhouse. Schools performances will be held on 25 and 26 July.

Winner of BEST PRODUCTION FOR CHILDREN at the 2015 Sydney Theatre Awards The 52-Storey Treehouse was adapted for the stage by award-winning Richard Tulloch (screenwriter Bananas in Pyjamas) from the bestselling book by Andy Griffiths (the top selling author across all genres in Australia in 2015) and Terry Denton. The 52-Storey Treehouse is directed by Liesel Badorrek and presented by Christine Dunstan CDP Theatre Producers (CDP) and the Adelaide Festival Centre. Set and costume designs are by Adelaide's Mark Thompson with lighting by Nicholas Higgins and sound by Ross Johnston.

Andy and Terry's Treehouse is now 52 storeys high, with yet more fantastic inventions: a rocket- powered carrot launcher, the Disguise-o-matic 5000 and even a Ninja Snail Training Academy! The production is set on Andy's (played by Alex Duncan) birthday, but Terry (played by Jack Starkey-Gill) has forgotten. To make matters worse Mr Big Nose has mysteriously disappeared and to top it all off Jill (played by Jane Mahady) has fallen into a deep sleep and they just can't wake her up. So Andy and Terry set off on a crazy adventure tackling a world of startling obstacles, including a hungry caterpillar, an angry vegetable kingdom and a 100 year ninja-snail epic voyage. Will they solve the mysteries and survive the dangers that test even their ingenuity?

Richard Tulloch is one of Australia's leading writers of books, plays and television for young audiences. He has written more than thirty plays which have been performed by professional companies throughout Australia and around the world. Richard also has extensive experience as a screenwriter, including Bananas in Pyjamas (as principal writer) and has also published more than thirty-five children's books in Australia and overseas, many of which have been chosen by the Children's Book Council of Australia for their prestigious Notable Books list. Richard has also directed plays for young people all over Australia and in the USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, France and the Netherlands.

Andy Griffiths is one of Australia's most popular children's authors. He has written more than 20 books including nonsense verse, short stories, comic novels and plays. Over the last 15 years Andy's books have been New York Times bestsellers, won more than 50 children's choice awards, been adapted as a television cartoon series and sold more than five million copies worldwide.

Terry Denton is an illustrator and has over 120 books published so far (too many to count). He has won more than 15 children's choice awards throughout Australia and been shortlisted many times in the Children's Book Council of Australia awards.

CDP has an unsurpassed track record for developing new productions.
