Mamma Mia! at Musical Theater Basel

The "international tour" from MAMMA MIA! coming after the world's enormous success for only 4 weeks back in the Switzerland, Basel. The unconventional musical comedy about love, family, friendship and paternity, with 22 magic ABBA classics, broke since the London Premiere in 1999 all records. Over 54 million people around the globe watched the "biggest musical fun around the world" (BBC) already. Now the Swiss musical fans on the English original theatrical version in Basel can look forward: from 13 may up to and including 8 June 2014, the musical theater Basel turns scenes in a Greek island.


On the island

MAMMA MIA! plays on a small Greek island. On the eve of her wedding, the 20-year old Sophie wants to finally enlighten the identity of her father. Notes on three lovers, who meet again at the invitation of the daughter after 21 years in the place, it connects to the memories of a romantic adventure can be found in the diary of her mother Donna. The chaos is perfect travel as even Donna's best youth girlfriends. The past becomes the present and there are no limits to the confusion.
