Wotan, chief of the Gods, with his disorderly love affairs begets a new race of humans, destined to ransom by love the Ring of power and destruction back from the greed that hoards it. But Wotan has promised his wife Fricka to get rid of Siegmund, his love child with a mortal woman. The Walkryie, Wotan’s divine daughter Brünnhilde, goes against her father’s order by protecting Siegmund and his twin sister Sieglinde.
