His aged fatherTimur and the slave girl Liu, who is in love with Calaf, try with all their might to dissuade him from accepting the challenge. But Calaf is unshakable and love wins.

Puccini's music for the tale of the cruel Turandot and her suitors is beautiful, dramatic and deeply moving. The tenor area Nessun Dorma is one of the most loved in the history of opera. This production, which has been a great success with both audiences and critics, had its first performance at the Royal Swedish Opera House in 2013. In the title role, we will see the celebrated soprano Erika Sunnegårdh.
