The Figaro and Susan's wedding anniversary. But it is not just the couple that longs. Count seems equally interested in Susanna as uninterested in the Countess. Marcellina wants to ensnare Figaro. And Cherubino loves everyone. The desire lurks behind every door. Who gets who when the day is done and how do you avoid being left and unloved?
When Mozart and Da Ponte created his opera from a banned play, it was revolutionary to the servant Figaro would win the conflict with the Count. Ole Anders Tandberg's set is all about lust mechanisms. Who, I ask, and why? Mozart-way express the music the eleven role of the innermost thoughts in a set that is as comical as serious.
