Listen to our music Swedish tax in Opera's popular series Extremely unheard. Together with the Academy of Music, we have developed the delights of Swedish opera and chamber music. During four concerts in the Opera's beautiful golden foyer you'll enjoy the classic champion from the 1700s, romantic nationalism and the Swedish 1900s. All concerts are presented by the Opera dramaturg Katarina Aronsson.
The concerts will start at 18.00 in the Golden Foyer. Opera's cafeteria is open all concert evenings.

Music of Gustav III

At Gustav III's court flourished the arts, especially music. Here we find the starting point of what we see today as a Swedish opera.

Tales and nature poetry

The Nordic light shone not only in Swedish painting the years around the turn of the century. The love for nature and Swedish folk tales can also be seen on the opera stage and in the music.
