SÅ SOM I HIMMELEN (AS IF IN HEAVEN) at Oscars ImageSå som i himmeln /As if in heaven will transfer abroad

As if in heaven is running on it second season and the producer Vicky von der Lancken is not ruling out even a fourth season for it due to high ticket demand. It just celebraited show no 100.

As if in heaven is an original Swedish musical based on a film with the same name. The film was a hugh success abroad and even nominated to an Oscar award. The script to the musical has been translated to English and there will be translation to Norwegian, Danish, Finnish and German.
The first theatre outside Sweden to have bought the rights are Oslo Nye Teater in Norway. Other theatres abroad has shown interest as well.

It is very rare that a Swedish musical is played in another country. Most famous is probably Chess and Mamma Mia by Björn Ulveaus and Benny Andersson but they both opened in London first and was written in English. They were translated and played in Sweden after. They have also written Kristina from Duvemåla which has been played in Helsinki and in concert versions in London and New York.

It will be very interesting to see if As If In Heaven will reach as far as to Broadway!
