After two sold-out seasons in Malmo, the Swedish successful musical SÄLLSKAPSRESAN (The Charter Trip) based on the 1980's comedy movie is finally coming to Stockholm September 9.

SÄLLSKAPSRESAN The Musical is the official stage version of Lasse Åberg's classic film comedy from 1980. A masterpiece which rightly has left countless of wonderful memories behind him among generations of moviegoers. Who does not remember the four P's, Pepe's Bodega or Sven Melander the ever-thirsty Berra?

The movie is not only by far the most viewed Swedish film ever, it is surely also the most loved. Like the movie, you will absolutely love this musical remake filled with laughter, joy, romance, dancing, singing and yes ... simply everything that belongs to a real, Swedish holiday adventure.

The plot follows a stuffy, nerdy Swede, Stig-Helmer Olsson (Lasse Åberg), who travels to the fictional town of Nueva Estocolmo in Gran Canaria. At the airport in Sweden, he meets a man from Norway, Ole Bramserud. Before the trip, he calls for a meeting with a psychiatrist called Dr. B. A:son Levander for treating his flying-fear. Levander then cons Stig-Helmer into smuggling money to Nueva Estocolmo for another of the travellers, Gösta Angerud by telling him that he has an aunt at Nueva Estocolmo and gives Stig-Helmer the money in a christmas present. (Unknown to Stig-Helmer, the money is stuffed in a bread loaf.) Among the other travellers are two middle-aged women, Maj-Britt and Siv, the alcoholic duo Berra Ohlsson and Robban Söderberg who looks for a liquor store named Pepe's Bodega throughout the movie; and the Storch couple who are laughed at by Berra and Robban because of the similar pronouncing of Storch and stork.
