- It's a dream role. Just the fact that it is home in Sweden and near Växjö and my family is fun.
Swedish hip hop artist Jason "Timbuktu" Diakité is translating the show from English to Swedish.
Some of Zetterholm's other theatre credits include the West End company of LES MISERABLES (Enjolras) as well as the the German company of WICKED (Fiyero), DISNEY'S TARZAN( Tarzan), DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES, ELIZABETH (Rudolf) and most recently the Swedish revival of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA in Stockholm (Raoul).
WEST SIDE STORY tells the timeless tale of star-crossed lovers Tony and Maria as they struggle to rise above the hatred and intolerance that surrounds them. The original 1957 Broadway production, directed and choreographed by Jerome Robins and produced by Robert E. Griffith and Harold Prince marked Sondheim's Broadway debut. It ran for 732 performances before going on tour. The production was nominated for six Tony Awards including Best Musical in 1957.
