Dance St. Louis continues its 53rd season of presenting world-class dance from across the country and beyond with a one-night-only performance of the prestigious British dance company, Company Wayne McGregor.The London-based company, composed of 10 highly skilled international dancers, is lauded for its signature elasticity (The New York Times), hyper-flexibility, glorious execution and extreme athleticism. It was founded in 1993 by multi-award-winning British choreographer/director Wayne McGregor (Resident Choreographer, The Royal Ballet; commissioned choreographer, Paris Opera Ballet, American Ballet Theatre; choreographer Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). Company Wayne McGregor performs the Midwest premiere of McGregors latest work Autobiography, featuring an original score by critically acclaimed musician Jlin that was named as one of the 10 Best Avant Albums of 2018 (Rolling Stone). Inspired by his DNA and based on the sequencing of his genome, McGregor creates exquisite, masterful choreographic portraits.
