Wells Foundation: The Wells Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports fundamental societal change through innovative and entrepreneurial action. For more than 130 years, the Wells Foundation has supported an outreach mission to its community. In its early years, focus was on serving immigrants, women and disadvantaged families. More recently, Wells has supported programs that provide food for the hungry and social service organizations that address the concerns of the homeless. Recent grantees include Heading Home Hennepin, Loring Nicollet-Bethlehem Community Centers, Neighborhood Involvement Program (NIP), Project for Pride in Living (PPL), Simpson Housing Services, The Phoenix Project, St. Stephen's Street Outreach, Episcopal Community Services and Saint Mark's Cathedral outreach programs. The Wells Foundation continues to have a strong affiliation with St. Mark's Cathedral, but is a separate philanthropic organization.
