The Summit Theatre Group will present THE TOBY SHOW, this weekend, May 21, 22 and 23 at Paradise Park in Lees Summit, Mo., 1021 NE Colbern Road, as a part of "A Fair To Remember" the commemoration of the old Jackson County Missouri Fair; performances will be held in the Pavilion.
Toby Shows were popular in the late 1800's and early 1900's and featured the character of "Toby" a seeming simple red haired, country boy who always out-slickered the city slicker who were trying to take advantage of them. The play features Toby as he tries to stop the nefarious Reginald Craven's plot to buy out his hometown to get the oil under it.
THE TOBY SHOW is directed by Ben Martin with Kaylie Roy the stage manager and features Jon Pierson as 'Toby' with Jerad Hill, Kristen Cox and Megan Sells.
Performance days are Thursday May 21st at 7:00 p.m., Friday May 22 at 6:00 and 8:30 p.m. and Saturday May 23rd at 2:00 and 4:30 p.m. Tickets will be on sale at the Fair Grounds for $5.00 each.
