The Sheldon presents The Sheldon Chorale: Sacred Music of the Season, Monday, February 21, 2011 at 8 p.m. in the perfect acoustics of the Sheldon Concert Hall. Composers from many musical periods are featured on this program of spiritually uplifting sacred music for the Lenten season.

The 32-person chorale, directed by Allen Carl Larson, will present the brilliant Saint Theresa Mass in B/flat for Chorus, Soloists and Orchestra by Josef Haydn. A brief sampling of other choral works by Josquin Des Prez, Duruflé, Mozart, Stravinsky and Brahms will be featured, with soloists drawn from members of the choir, and orchestra players from the Saint Louis Symphony. This inspiring concert promises to be one of the highlights of the classical music season.
