The Rockettes announced a new dance program, The Rockettes Master Class, as The Rockettes travel to cities across the U.S. providing dance students that cannot make it to New York the opportunity to learn alongside the legendary Rockettes and what it takes to become a part of the iconic dance company. The class will take place in St. Louis today, November 18, 2012 at Downtown Dance Center.
The Rockettes Master Class, a Rockettes Experience, is a unique chance for local dancers to learn the precision technique and signature choreography that has made The Rockettes such national icons. As part of The Rockettes dance education programming, the class is an intensive one day opportunity for aspiring dancers in the intermediate to advanced level with experience in ballet, jazz and tap to study under the direction of The Rockettes. The program includes seven hours of comprehensive training, the chance to learn the signature Rockettes kickline and Parade of the Wooden Soldiers choreography, Q&A session with an inside look at what it takes to become a Rockette including important tips on how to successfully audition, a commemorative warm-up jacket and a photo opp with The Rockettes!
