The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis announced today its 50th Anniversary Season for 2016-2017.

The Rep's biggest season yet runs September through April at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, kicking off with Stephen Sondheim's masterwork musical Follies.

Follies runs September 7-October 2, followed by world premiere Until the Flood (October 12-November 6), A Christmas Carol (November 30-December 24), All My Sons (January 4-29, 2017), To Kill A Mockingbird (February 8-March 5, 2017) and Million Dollar Quartet (March 15-April 9, 2017).

The Berges Family Foundation is the Mainstage Season Sponsor for The Rep's 50th Anniversary Season.

"We are thrilled and proud to have been part of the St. Louis community for the past 50 years," said Rep Artistic Director Steven Woolf. "This is a major accomplishment for an arts institution and it's the kind of milestone that reminds us of the vitality of our audiences and supporters. We expect the excitement surrounding this special anniversary year to carry us into the future."

The Rep's 2016-2017 season subscription campaign is underway, with packages available for the Mainstage and Studio Theatre series. Mainstage subscriptions range from $108 to $489. Studio Theatre shows will be announced this summer.

Subscribers can save substantially over the cost of purchasing individual tickets to shows and enjoy exclusive benefits by purchasing season tickets at The Rep Box Office (located inside the Loretto-Hilton Center at 130 Edgar Road in Webster Groves) or by calling (314) 968-4925.

The complete Mainstage season is as follows:

Follies, book by James Goldman, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Directed by Rob Ruggiero.
Stephen Sondheim's elaborate musical salutes the world of show business with lavish panache. Hailed by TIME's Richard Corliss as "the best score on Broadway," Follies poignantly explores the concepts of love and memory. Winner of seven Tony Awards.

Until The Flood, by Dael Orlandersmith. Directed by Neel Keller.
A world premiere. The Rep has commissioned celebrated writer, performer and Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith to write and perform a one-woman play about the recent unrest in our region. She has fashioned a sensitive and moving portrayal of the people in our community, and how they feel about an event that placed St. Louis in a spotlight it didn't expect or relish.

A Christmas Carol, adapted by David H. Bell, from the novella by Charles Dickens. Directed by Steven Woolf.
Charles Dickens' immortal tale comes to The Rep stage for the first time in 35 years. The redemption story of Ebenezer Scrooge endures because it touches a core part of our humanity - the idea that empathy, compassion and generosity can thaw even the coldest heart.

All My Sons, by Arthur Miller. Directed by Seth Gordon.
Miller's breakthrough play is a searing and very personal search for morality that has shattering repercussions. A factory owner's corrupt business practices during World War II come back to haunt him and his family in this Tony Award-winning drama.

To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, adapted by Christopher Sergel. Directed by Risa Brainin.
This adaptation of Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel brings one of American literature's best-loved novels to vivid life. Join the precocious Scout and her wise father Atticus Finch in a story that has only gained emotional resonance in the 55 years since its publication.

Million Dollar Quartet, book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux. Original concept and direction by Floyd Mutrux. Inspired by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. Directed by Hunter Foster.
When Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins get together to jam at Sun Studios, the air crackles with star power. This jukebox musical features massive hits from all four performers. For additional information on the upcoming season, visit http://www.repstl.org.
