The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) will hold a blood drive in collaboration with the American Red Cross in the Lobby of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, September 6, 2011.
The blood drive will take place from 10am - 4pm. Appointments are now available and occur every 15 minutes within the hour, with the last appointment time of the day at 3:45 pm.
To make an appointment, please call Becky Hadley, Public Relations Manager, at 314-968-4288. Walk-ins are welcome, however, appointments will take priority. All donors must present a photo I.D. Refreshments will be provided to participants. Free parking is available in the garage off of Garden Avenue.
The American Red Cross urges all eligible blood donors to attend blood drives like the one at The Rep. While blood donations are up from extremely low levels seen in May and June, blood products continue to go to hospitals just as quickly as they are coming in. The sweltering heat waves that have baked much of the country have also hurt blood collections, as triple-digit temperatures have made it extremely difficult to recruit blood donors.
All blood types are needed, especially O negative, which can be used to treat any patient.
As a thank-you, donors will receive $5 off any ticket for Red (the first Mainstage production of the season running September 7-October 2) in sections 1, 2 or 3. Prior sales are excluded and cannot be combined with any other offer. Tickets are subject to availability.
