STAGES ST. LOUIS continues its tradition of presenting Broadway-quality family theatre in its seventh year of the STAGES Theatre for Young Audiences Program with Disney's 101 Dalmatians. The musical adapted from the hit Disney film will run from June 22 through July 3 at The Robert G. Reim Theatre in Kirkwood.
Sound the all-dog alert, Pongo and Perdita's fifteen adorable puppies have been dog-napped by the evil Cruella De Vil and her bumbling henchmen! But her cruel plan to turn these pups into the most elaborate coat London has ever seen goes awry thanks to the efforts of London's ruff-est, tuff-est dogs and the resourceful cat, Sergeant Tibbs. Disney's 101 Dalmatians is an exciting canine caper that will leave you cheering to the joyful tunes of "Dalmatian Conga," "Cruella De Vil," and "Twilight Bark." It's sure to be a furry and friendly adventure for children ages 3 to 101!
"It is important to the future of this art form to introduce musical theatre at a young age, so we create theatre advocates early," said Jack Lane, STAGES' Executive Producer. "We are delighted to see our audiences filled with young faces, many of them in costumes matching the actors on the stage. It's fun for kids, parents and grandparents alike."
Direction and musical staging is by STAGES' Artistic Director, Michael Hamilton, and musical direction by Lisa Campbell Albert. Completing the artistic team are scenic designer James Wolk, costume designer Brad Musgrove, lighting designer Matthew McCarthy and orchestral designer Stuart M. Elmore.
