Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre presents: THE ONE-HOUR LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY--LIVE!
The Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre presents: The entire epic Lord of the Rings trilogy. In one hour. Really. We are not making this up.
Revived after a smashing success at the Regional Arts Commission in May 2009, the show nicknamed "LOL LOTR" descends on Lindenwood University's Emerson Black Box Theatre for four nights in December. Following the zany tradition of "The Complete Works of Shakespeare--Abridged," it will leave you in stitches, and possibly change the way you look at Tolkien forever.
"The One-Hour Lord of the Rings Trilogy--Live!" was written by Elizabeth Henning and John Wolbers, and is directed once again by St. Louis Shakespeare/Magic Smoking Monkey Artistic Director Donna Northcott. Featured actors include John Wolbers as FRODO BAGGINS, Adam Thenhaus as SAM GAMGEE, Ben Ritchie as ARAGORN, Aaron Orion Baker as GANDALF THE GREY, and Roger Erb as GOLLUM.
Performances are:
Friday & Saturday, December 4 & 5
Friday & Saturday, December 11 & 12
Each evening features two performances, at 8:00 and 10:30pm
Please note that the Emerson Black Box Theatre is located inside the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts on the campus of Lindenwood University, 2300 West Clay, St. Charles, MO 63301
Tickets are $15 for Adults and $10 for Students (with ID).
Tickets available through Brown Paper Tickets online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/71704 or call (800)838-3006.
