2009 is a year of change for the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation [formerly the Fox Associates Charitable Foundation]. In addition to the name change, the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation has hired a new Executive Director, is moving into new offices and has appointed three new Board members.
The Foundation has hired Kathryn Ballard as its new Executive Director. Ms. Ballard comes to the Foundation from Grand Center, Inc. and has nearly 30 years experience in the not-for-profit sector. Ballard says she was attracted by the Foundation's activities which include creating opportunities for young people to experience live performances. The Foundation also gives grants and has, in its short 7-year existence, helped more than 50 organizations ranging from small, emerging theatre companies to large, established arts organizations creating special performance opportunities for St. Louis artists and audiences. "The St. Louis performing arts scene has been experiencing growth in the past few years and I see the Fox Performing Arts Foundation as an exciting and integral part of that growth," says Ballard.
As of March 1, 2009 the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation's offices will be located at 462 North Taylor, Suite 300, St. Louis MO 63108. Tel: (314) 534-0880 Fax: (314) 534-0881
New Foundation Board members Susan Gelman, James Weidman and newly-elected Secretary Joseph Noelker have joined current Board President Mary Strauss, Vice-President Marlene Birkman, Treasurer Robert Baudendistel and Director James Pudlowski.
The Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation is dedicated to fostering and promoting the performing arts in the St. Louis metropolitan area, thus encouraging audiences of all ages and from all walks of life to discover the joy and wonder of live theatre.
