The Rep's Imaginary Theatre Company (ITC), a professional touring ensemble for young audiences, comes home for the holidays with five public performances of the bright and zany Kevin Kline Award-honored musical Bah! Humbug!.

Performances of Bah! Humbug!, adapted from Dickens' A Christmas Carol with book, music and lyrics by Jack Herrick, will be given on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road, Webster Groves.

In the piece, Mr. Scrooge throws his TV remote at ghosts while Bob Cratchit works inside the ATM in an update of the beloved holiday classic. Audiences will travel with the three spirits on a journey through past, present and future as old Ebenezer learns the joys of kindness and giving.

Volunteers from The Rep and will greet audiences for pre-show activities beginning one hour prior to each scheduled performance.

The cast of Bah! Humbug! is Chauncy Thomas, Ann Ashby, Lakeetha Blakeney and Amanda Williford.

Bah! Humbug! is directed by Bruce Longworth, with musical direction by NeAl Richardson. The creative staff includes Lou Bird, scenic and costume designer, and Danny Maly, stage manager. Marsha Coplon is The Rep's director of education.

For more than three decades, The Rep's Imaginary Theatre Company has introduced children of all ages to classic works of literature, extraordinary people, history-making events, the artistry of theatre and the joy of creative thinking and lively discussion.

The original scripts that The Rep commissions for ITC are rich in language, action-packed and alive with vivid characters and stimulating thoughts and ideas. As The Rep's traveling ambassadors, ITC specializes in bringing the excitement of live, professional theatre to young audiences in local and rural communities throughout Missouri, Southern Illinois and the regional Midwest, performing in theatres, schools, community centers, hospitals - virtually anywhere there is an audience ready to have an adventure.

The performance will run Saturday, December 19 at 11 am and 2 pm; Tuesday, December 22 at 11 am and 2 pm; Wednesday, December 23 at 10 am. All seating is general admission. Ticket prices are just $6 for children and adults.
