Grand Center Arts Academy Invites New & Interested Families for Meet and Greet Today, 6/26

The Grand Center Arts Academy, the first and only performing and visual arts charter school in the state, invites new and interested families to meet faculty, staff and other Academy enrollees during a fun, informal pizza luncheon.

The event will take place TODAY, June 26, 2010; 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (includes event program) at Grandel Theater, 3610 Grandel Square, St. Louis, Mo. 63130 (corner of Grand & Grandel).

Fun, interactive activities with faculty and Academy T-shirts will be distributed to new students. After lunch, Circus Flora, in its final weekend, will present its 2 p.m. matinee. The Black Repertoire Theater of St. Louis is presenting a 3 p.m. matinee of its final show, "The Me Nobody Knows," directed by Ron Himes.

The Grand Center Arts Academy, a tuition-free charter school, is located at  711 N. Grand Avenue in the heart of the thriving, vibrant arts center of the region, Grand Center. In addition to providing a rigorous academic program, the school will offer world-class training in music, theater, visual art and dance. The Academy is currently enrolling for grades 6 and 7 on a first-come, first-served basis. Grades will be added each subsequent year through grade 12 in 2015. Enrollment will be capped at 750 students.
