Experience a concert from a rare vantage point, up on-stage with the musicians!
We will hear the influences of travel on the music of composers from around the world. A hidden gem, Jean Cras' String Trio is featured on this program which also includes music from American Valerie Coleman and Belizean-British Errollyn Wallen. "And then I knew 'twas wind" from Toru Takemitsu, a Japanese composer inspired by the poems of Emily Dickinson and the music of Claude Debussy, will round out the program with his exceptional deployment of color, sound, and silence.
They are partnering with the American Field Service (AFS), one of the largest student exchange programs in the world for this concert.
