Exclusive: Full Cast Revealed for SPAMALOT at the Muny; Ragusa, Cahoon, Scherer, Hibbard & More Join - Plus the Voice of Bob Costas!

The Muny announced more principal casting for the first show of its fantastic 95th season, Monty Python's Spamalot, directed and choreographed by Denis Jones. Spamalot is sponsored by BMO Harris Bank.

As previously announced, John O'Hurley will star as King Arthur. Also starring will be Michelle Ragusa as The Lady of the Lake, Kevin Cahoon as Historian, John Scherer as Sir Robin, David Hibbard as Patsy, Chris Hoch as Sir Lancelot, Ben Davis as Sir Dennis Galahad, and Tally Sessions as Dennis' Mother/Sir Bedevere. Joining them will be broadcast legend Bob Costas as The Voice of God.

"This is a delicious, wonderful comic cast," said Executive Producer Mike Isaacson. "They promise anarchy, mayhem and pandemonium in its highest order. I fear for our audience, I really do, so I encourage all audience members to wear their suits of armor. In fact, anyone showing up in full armor will receive a free lemon freeze!"

"When I asked Bob Costas to lend his mellifluous tones to our production as The Voice of God," continued Isaacson, "Bob simply replied, 'When will they stop typecasting me?'"

Based on the 1975 film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," Monty Python's Spamalot has a book by Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez. It tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and raises silliness to an art form. Spamalot is the winner of three Tony Awards including Best Musical.

The Muny production features scenic design by Sam and Steve Gilliam, sound design by Jason Krueger, lighting design by Seth Jackson and costume design by Leon Dobkowski. Ben Whiteley serves as the musical director, and the production stage manager is Nevin Hedley.

John O'Hurley (King Arthur) is equally fluent in the world of entertainment and business. He has catapulted into television's busiest and most versatile actor/show host, Broadway star, advertising hero as well as being a New York Times best-selling author and Billboard chart-topping composer. It was O'Hurley's unique portrayal of the wry and witty "J. Peterman" on Seinfeld that led to dozens of advertising campaigns for companies such as Xerox and The Travel Channel, earning him multiple advertising and marketing industry awards. John reappeared in prime time in 2005, capturing America's heart with his turn on Season 1 of Dancing with the Stars, where he officially won the series with the highly contested "Dance Off."

He was named one of People Magazine's, "Sexiest Men Alive." After a three-year stint hosting USA's Get Golf with the PGA TOUR, O'Hurley is now the regular host of NBC Sports highest rated yearly show, The National Dog Show presented by Purina, a decade-old Thanksgiving tradition to 22 million viewers. He was also host of the long-time popular game shows Family Feud and To Tell The Truth. In addition, life imitates art for him as John is now the business partner of the J. Peterman Company, along with the real J. Peterman. His unusual versatility as both entertainer and businessman was the focus of many features in magazines like Business Week and Time Magazine. Aside from his position as part owner of the J. Peterman Company, he is the a principal partner in six companies, most notably Energy - Inc., a unique waste-to-energy technology and PoliteView, a unique online delivery platform used extensively by the US Government, airlines, The UN, and many Fortune 500 corporations.

Michele Ragusa (The Lady of the Lake) returns to The Muny after starring as Lina Lamont in Singin' In The Rain and Alice Beane in Titanic. David Hibbard (Mayor/Patsy) most recently finished the limited engagement run of Elf The Musical on Broadway in the role of Matthews. He was in the 10 time Tony Award winning production of Billy Elliot, both on Broadway and in the second national tour. His mark on 'the Great White Way' is completing 2,197 performances in Broadway's CATS, in the coveted role of the Rum Tum Tugger. Other Broadway credits include Patsy, in Monty Python's smash hit Spamalot, The Jester in the revival of Once Upon A Mattress starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and creating the role of Bobby/Michael Bennett in A Class Act, which he recreated the following summer in Tokyo. David has also performed in the Encores! production of Can Can starring Patti LuPone, and in the world premiere of Maurey Yeston's adaptation of Frank Loesser's Hans Christian Anderson. Off-Broadway he was seen in Chess, Forbidden Broadway Strikes Back! and Lincoln Center's benefit of Anything Goes, also starring Patti LuPone. John Scherer (Sir Robin/Guard 1/Brother Maynard) has appeared on Broadway in Lovemusik, By Jeeves (also the film version), Sunset Boulevard and the Actors Fund benefit performance of Funny Girl. Other NY appearances include The Most Happy Fella at NYC Opera, Out Of This World at City Center and A Tribute To Comden and Green at Carnegie Hall. His off-Broadway credits include Olympus On My Mind, Dames At Sea and Preppies. He has toured nationally in White Christmas; 42nd Street; Cats; Mame and Hello, Dolly! He received critical acclaim for his performance in George M at the Goodspeed Opera House. St. Louis audiences last saw him in the title role of The Foreigner at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. His other regional credits include leading roles at the Kennedy Center, Goodman Theater, Arena Stage, Paper Mill Playhouse, Ahmanson Theater and many others. Film and television credits include Spinning Into Butter, The Shield, Crossing Jordan, Law And Order (all series), Titus and The Guiding Light. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.

Bob Costas (The Voice of God) has won twenty-four Emmy awards - more than any sports broadcaster. His versatility has been recognized with awards and nominations in the categories of hosting, play-by-play, writing, journalism, news, and entertainment. He is the only person ever to have won Emmy's in news, sports, and entertainment. His news Emmy was awarded for his interview with Jerry Sandusky, the central figure in the Penn State scandal. His entertainment Emmy came in 1993 for his acclaimed late night program Later with Bob Costas. Bob's peers have named him the National Sportscaster of the Year a record eight times, and in 2012, he was elected to the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame. Also in 2012 Bob was selected for the Walter Cronkite Award for distinction in journalism. He and Al Michaels are the only sports broadcasters to be so honored. From the Baseball Game of the Week in the 1980s, through his hosting of the Olympics, the late night interview program Later...with Bob Costas, his programs on HBO, and more, Bob has been a prominent part of the coverage of every major sport over the past three decades.

His thoughtful commentaries on a variety of issues have established him as one of his generation's most distinctive voices.The 2012 London Olympics were Bob's tenth for NBC. In addition he has hosted six Super Bowls, and has been part of the coverage as either play-by-play announcer, or host of seven World Series, and ten NBA Finals. Bob has been a prominent part of NBC's presentations of major events, such as the Kentucky Derby and the U.S. Open Golf Championship. Beyond NBC, Bob's work with HBO, and more recently the Major League Baseball Network have drawn widespread praise. In 2000, Bob's book "Fair Ball, a Fan's Case for Baseball" spent several weeks on the New York Times best-seller list. His collaborations with Joe Garner on a series of coffee table books and audio sports histories have also been best sellers. He began his professional career at WSYR-TV and radio in 1973 while studying at Syracuse before joining KMOX radio in St. Louis in 1974. He has been with NBC since 1980.
