Jordi Savall Concert at Barcelona Opera House Gran Teatre Del Liceu

Jordi Savall and Le Concert des Nations have succeeded in turning serious music, played on period instruments, into a product for general consumption by applying a skilful blend of rigour, virtuosity, curiosity and proximity to a musical repertory spanning six centuries. This programme focuses on the year 1714, when Barcelona was besieged by the troops of Philip V, an event of which we are currently commemorating the 3rd centenary.
