Renowned Catalan actor and director Josep María Pou is bringing his latest show to our theatre. "A cielo abierto" (Skylight) is a too distressing yet possible love story. Opened at the National Theatre in London on 4 May 1995, David Hare´s play has been a huge success at the most important theatres in the West End, Broadway and on stages around the world.
A loft on the outskirts of London is both a meeting point and a place were love secrets are revealed. Tom, a widower in his late fifties, and Kyra, an idealistic teacher, will learn that there is no turning back in life.
Tom´s philosophy of life differs greatly from Kyra´s. They talk about betrayal, guilt, the difference between business culture and social work or the passion for teaching, and how to reconcile the conflicting values they cherish.
