The Tiger Lillies 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' at LG Arts Center

The Tiger Lillies are an extraordinary three-piece band and their music is
a startling mixture of opera, gypsy song and left-bank Paris, but what really marks out this band from any others is the emotional charge and raw passion of the delivery. The upcoming performance is a 90-minute musical adaptation of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, a collaboration with visual artist Mark Holthusen. Throughout the performance, the multimedia stage production will immerse the audience in the world of Coleridge’s surreal ballad, shifting from song to song and creating a show that is somewhere between a movie and a concert.
