Anton von Webern’s hauntingly intense Six Orchestral Pieces, one
of 20th century’s seminal classics, will be performed for the first
time in Korea ? more than 100 years after its creation! Leading
Swedish composer Anders Hillborg writes flamboyant music which
is being regularly performed by the world’s leading orchestras:
Eleven Gates roams through the whole world of music in a
kaleidoscopic manner. We revive the fabulously vivid and urgently
communicative Konzertstuck of master German composer Friedrich
Goldmann and present the World Premiere of Jukka Tiensuu’s
enchanting and stunningly original Sheng Concerto, which has been
jointly commissioned by the SPO, the Strasbourg Philharmonic and
the radio orchestras from Norway and the Netherlands. It invents
the 3000-year old Chinese instrument anew and showcases the
world's leading sheng virtuoso Wu Wei.
