BBC AMERICA and BBC Studios Natural History Unit have debuted its global trailer for Asia, the latest natural history series narrated by renowned naturalist and three-time Emmy® Award-winner Sir David Attenborough (Mammals, Planet Earth III), which explores the wildlife and landscapes of our planet’s largest continent. The awe-inspiring two-minute series trailer features original music by K-pop icon SEVENTEEN and award-winning composers Jacob Shea and Laurentia Editha for Bleeding Fingers. Asia will premiere on BBC AMERICA and AMC+ in 2025.

Spanning the continent, the trailer showcases some of the extraordinary creatures and wondrous landscapes uncovered in the series showcasing the diversity of wildlife from this incredible part of our planet. Audiences will see remarkable behavior across this seven-part series, including urban deer on the commute with workers in Japan and an alien sea bunny slithering on the Indonesian ocean floor – Asia is a continent like no other.

With the biggest selling album worldwide in 2023, SEVENTEEN made history by becoming the first K-pop act to perform on Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid Stage earlier this year as they continue to take the world by storm.

This original uplifting track, with vocals by SEVENTEEN’s DK and SEUNGKWAN, transports the viewer on an emotional journey through Asia with the orchestral swells from the renowned Bleeding Fingers accompanying the breathtaking imagery.

SEVENTEEN commented: “We are incredibly honoured to be a part of this ground-breaking new series Asia that reveals the untold stories of the continent's breath-taking natural beauty and wonders. As artists, it is important for us to spread solidarity and positivity through our music, and to be able to work on this vital project alongside the legendary Sir David Attenborough and the multi-award-winning Bleeding Fingers is truly a full-circle moment for us. We hope the music we created together will bring audiences closer to the series.”

On the collaboration, Russell Emanuel, CEO/President of Bleeding Fingers Music offered, “Working with world-renowned artists on flagship BBC Studios Natural History series is always a thrill. For the trailer of "Asia," teaming up with SEVENTEEN was the perfect fit, both authentically and creatively. They embraced the opportunity and brought so much passion and energy to the music, making it a truly memorable collaboration!”

Matthew Wright, Series Producer Asia said: “SEVENTEEN’s stunning vocals have combined with Bleeding Fingers’ amazing composition to create a truly magical track. Their music perfectly complements the beautiful imagery of animals and landscapes that our crews worked so hard to capture over the past three years.”

Asia, a 7x60’ for BBC One and iPlayer, is made by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, co-produced with BBC AMERICA, ZDF and France Télévisions. It was commissioned by Jack Bootle, Head of Commissioning, Specialist Factual. The Executive Producer is Roger Webb, the Series Producer is Matthew Wright and the Commissioning Editor is Sreya Biswas, Head of Commissioning, Natural History. BBC Studios is handling global distribution and facilitated the co-production deals with BBC AMERICA, ZDF and France Télévisions.
