AERANG & BAEBIJANG is Now Playing at the National Theatre of Korea Image

The exhilarating, invigorating, and gratifying <Aerang & Baebijang> comes back after 5 years, after selling out its many re-runs since its premiere in 2012. Based on 'Baebijang-taryeong,' a pansori piece with excellent satire and humor on human fallacy and delusions, it brings you cheerful dance, comedy and jokes, and deliciously hilarious acting, never letting you stop laughing.

The creators who made this piece into one of the leading repertories of the Company director Lee Byung-hun, playwright Oh Eun-hee, master singer Ahn Sook-sun, and composer Hwang Ho-joon are revisiting the piece to enhance and enrich it with a story and quality suitable for year 2021. Hurry up and grab your tickets for this entertaining changgeuk comedy, which shows generous qualities of the original classic and beauty of Korean traditional vocal music.

Performances run 22-31 October 2021 at Daloreum Theater.
