Multi-talented musician, composer, educator, producer, Charlestonian, and GRAMMY award winning Quentin Baxter joins the CSO for an evening of jazzy sounds inspired by various art forms. Along with Baxter, prominent Charleston artist John Duckworth’s meditative works of art will be projected throughout the hall to create an immersive multimedia experience.
The concert will feature music from a recent recording project of the Quentin Baxter Quintet, “Art Moves Jazz.” Charleston’s musical talent will certainly shine with Ravel’s Bolero, Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins, Fantasia on an Ellington Theme (featuring drum solos), and feisty tangos by Astor Piazzolla.
Tickets to this performance on February 9 are available online at charlestonsymphony.org.
