Town Theatre opens its centennial season with the classic production West Side Story - one of the most powerful love stories of all time. Beautiful melodies like "Tonight," "Maria" and "Somewhere" are juxtaposed with fierce and fiery dancing in "America" and The Dance at the Gym. Town's production coincides with the 100th birthday of Jerome Robbins, director/choreographer of the original Broadway production of the show.
The show runs Sept. 14-30 with an 8 PM curtains on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 3 PM curtain on Sundays. The show is directed by David Swicegood, with music direction by Michael Simmons and choreography by Joy Alexander. Costumes will be provided by Lauren Smith with technical and lighting design by Danny Harrington.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors 65+/active duty military/ full-time college and $15 for youth 17 and under. Group rates are available for 20 or more.
