Village Square Holds Auditions For SLEEPING BEAUTY 4/25, 26

Village Square Theatre will hold open auditions for our youth production SLEEPING BEAUTY, An Adaptation by Debra Leopard on Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 PM and Sunday, April 26 at 7:00 PM at Village Square Theatre in Lexington. If necessary, a call-back date will be announced for specified Auditioners during the audition process prior to final casting.

This is a NON-MUSICAL adaptation of the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. There are speaking roles for approximately 35 children ranging in age from 6 to 18 (20 role for girls, 10 roles for boys, 5 roles for boys or girls).

Auditioners will perform a cold reading from the script. Younger Auditioners may be asked to perform some "role playing" or improvisation. No perusal scripts are available. All auditions take place at the Village Square Theatre located just off Columbia Avenue (Highway #378) in Lexington. The theatre is adjacent to Village Square Shopping Center and the parking area is directly behind the Bo Jangles restaurant.
