The Electric City Playhouse is proud to announce that the December 17th Showtime at First Baptist performance proceeds will go to support the Upstate Marines Detachment #1106. The Upstate Marines Detachment #1106, located in Anderson, SC, was chartered in 2002 and currently has more than 60 members who live in Upstate and Northeast GA. It is the first local branch to be established in the Upstate area to serve Anderson County. In 2008 the Electric City Playhouse donated the proceeds of one of its performances of First Baptist of Ivy Gap to the Upstate Marines and it hopes that its 2009 donated performance of Showtime at First Baptist brings in as much support.

Showtime at First Baptist is the sequel to the wildly popular First Baptist of Ivy Gap and will provide the same uproarious laughter, show stopping talent and good times for all. The Electric City Playhouse is the first theatre in the country to perform this final revision before it heads off to the big publishing houses in NY. And if that isn't enough, The Crosscreek Bluegrass Band will be performing a live Country Christmas Jamboree before the show! Please check ecplayhouse.com for more information.

General seating tickets are $15 and available by calling Dave Morrissey of the Upstate Marines at (864) 222-2664.
