Greenville Little Theatre's (GLT) touring performance of Charlotte's Web is coming to the MainStage and offers audiences early showtimes of 10:30 am and 2:00 pm.
Charlotte's Web is this years touring production currently being performed at schools by the GLT resident acting company. The company travels to schools for on-site field trips, alleviating the need for busses and permission slips and offers theatre exposure to many children who otherwise do not get to participate. By the end of the school year, GLT on Tour will have performed over 100 performances of this beloved classic. For three days in February, GLT on Tour will be on the MainStage widening it's reach even further and offering even younger audiences the opportunity to see this short, entertaining performance that brings the page to the stage.
The GLT resident acting company features many of the MainStage favorites including Carter Allen, Cory Granner, Evan Harris, Latreshia Lilly, Jamie Ann Walters, and Craig Smith.
"This story of kindness, friendship and love is captivating and is full of laughs" says Jamie Ann Walters who plays Charlotte. "The costumes are fun and the reaction from the children never gets old for me. They are entranced from beginning to end."
Charlotte's Web is directed by Executive Artistic Director, Allen McCalla. Three special in-house performances are scheduled for February 22 and 23 at 10:30 am, and February 24 at 2pm. Tickets are $15.
