The award winning play Doubt is auditioning at The Flowertown Players of Summerville. On July12 and 13 at 7:00PM, the entire community is welcome to stop by and try out for a part in what is sure to be an engaging drama about faith and conviction.

Auditions are cold-readings from the script and no experience is necessary. Non-traditional casting is encouraged and there are four roles for males and females of all backgrounds ages 18 to 81.

Doubt was written in 2005 by John Patrick Shanley and went on to win awards including the Pulitzer Prize and numerous Tony Awards. The play is a powerful drama about Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal who takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students. Set in 1964, this show is an examination of faith, conviction and consequences. In addition to actors, The Flowertown Players also encourages anyone who would like to be involved in the production to stop by and sign up for crew and support.
