Featuring all the beloved characters from L. Frank Baum's timeless classic and many of the cherished songs from the 1939 film with Judy Garland, this production features 92 local young actors age 6-13. Generally recognized as the first truly American fairy tale, The Wizard of Oz holds an iconic place in American culture. That is why, "this particular production," says CCT Artistic Director, Jerry Stevenson, "stays very true to the original source material. Unlike our last PB&J production, Alice in Wonderland, this production is almost 100% traditional with just the occasional tongue-in-cheek nod toward modern humor."
