Luckily, in a prime location amid the hottest attractions, premier shopping, exquisite dining, theaters, and golf sits the Beach Cove Resort, which offers the ultimate destination for your home away from home.
Located in North Myrtle Beach near Barefoot Landing and other popular attractions, Beach Cove Resort features all oceanfront luxury one bedroom suites and two and three bedroom condominiums, offering spectacular views, extraordinary amenities and superior service that is second to none.
Arrival/Check In
Pulling an all-nighter, we finally checked into the resort around 4am and were greeted by the friendliest staff who were incredibly hospitable, welcoming, and efficiently provided assistance in offering keys, parking passes, and directions to our room. We quickly and effortlessly parked and made our way up to our suite, which was the first of many pleasant surprises, especially in the wee hours of the night.
Accommodations
The Beach Cove Resort offers oceanfront one bedroom executive suites, and two and three bedroom condos to accommodate couples, families, or friends traveling together. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which featured two queen beds in a private room, double vanity sinks, a full kitchen and separate living area with a pull-out couch and private balcony overlooking the magnificent beaches and pools underneath. Truly a home away from home!
The rooms were spotless and fully equipped with amenities such as private oceanfront balcony, two cable TVs, full refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, coffee/tea maker with complimentary coffee, in-room safe, and free wireless internet (in-room and throughout the resort), among others. The room was spacious, comfortable, and decorated with pastel colors and beach-themed decor, which was warm and inviting to draw you to the beach.
Kudos to the housekeeping staff who did an outstanding job of maintaining the room in an immaculate, pristine way!
Water Amenities
The Beach Cove Resort features three heated outdoor pools, three oceanfront whirlpools, an indoor whirlpool, indoor pool, 350-foot Lazy River, Sauna and Kiddie Pool. It also offers a tropical outdoor pool deck near the Breeze's Beach Bar and Grill which overlooks the sandy beaches and magnificent ocean. Some of the pools including the Lazy River and another outdoor pool were closed due to seasonal maintenance, but that didn't take away from the relaxing and tranquil feeling of paradise that the pool area provided.
Resort Amenities/Restaurants
Among the hotel amenities were free parking, racquetball court, guest laundry, a gift shop, fitness center, meeting spaces, and the the newest addition to the property, the Oceanfront Town Center which featured oceanfront dining and a state-of-the-art Winner's Circle Arcade. Inside the Town Center was also a grab-n-go coffee and grill/snack station, a full-service bar, and a full, open view of the pool and ocean, making it easy to feast your eyes on the expansive outdoors while still keeping a close eye on your kids playing in the arcade.
Besides the Oceanfront Town Center, the Beach Cove Resort also features two other dining options: the Tradewinds Cafe and the Breeze's Beach Bar and Grill. The Tradewinds Cafe is open for breakfast, offering a full buffet-style breakfast with views of the Atlantic Ocean. The seasonal Breeze's Beach Bar and Grill is located on the pool deck and is open for burgers, chicken and hot dogs, and cool daiquiris and non-alcoholic smoothies on warm beach days.
Fitness Room
The fitness room is small but effective. If you want to workout indoors, you can enjoy full views of the ocean while using the stationary bike, elliptical machines or weight equipment.
Meeting Rooms
Fully equipped to handle intimate gatherings, large corporate meetings, weddings, or other events, the Beach Cove's event facilities can easily accommodate as small as 30 guests or has up to 4,000 square feet for any large group or celebratory event.
Staff
With Beach Cove's promise to be "The Friendliest Place on the Beach," they truly live up to that standard. From the smiling faces while checking in at 4am to bringing extra towels and coffee after-hours, to providing directions, entertainment recommendations and more, every single member of the Beach Cove staff was top-notch. In fact, the servers at the Town Center went way beyond the call of duty to offer tips and help to my daughter who suffered from a bad case of sunburn by giving us tea bags, sliced cucumbers, and aloe to my ailing girl. Often it's the people who make the difference on whether or not your stay is a successful one. I can honestly say that the folks at Beach Cove were friendly, diligent, and truly made you feel like you were home by providing exceptional care, expert advice, and outstanding service at all hours of the day and night.

Unfortunately, the spring season often yields fickle weather, which has an impact on water activities and other outdoor fun. Such was the case during our trip where we went from a warm 75 degrees one day to only a high of 55 on another, making it difficult to participate in all the exciting outdoor happenings Myrtle Beach has to offer, especially the water sports. However, with so many indoor activities, not to mention just staring at the expansive view alone, we had plenty of options to keep us entertained and comfortable during our stay.
