Based on the real trial of South Bend resident Hazel McNally, who in 1922 shocked the nation when she was charged with murdering her twin babies in a case that made headlines. Hazel pleads her innocence, but it’s clear to South Bend citizens that Hazel must have done something awful. Did she murder her twins, or were they really just baby dolls as she claimed? At times humorous and often dramatic, this recreation of the events as a living newspaper documents one of the strangest cases in Hoosier history.
