This is the second year that the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and February’s Presenting Series chamber artist are collaborating with conductor Dr. Robert Boardman and South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestras (SBYSO) and its advanced ensemble as guest artists, this time on a showstopper—Jose Vincent Egea’s concerto, Fantasia Flamenca. Axiom Brass reciprocates the following day by guesting on SBYSO’s winter concert, also in the Leighton Concert Hall. The Orchestras’ young musicians benefit from days of residency and rehearsal with a stellar, internationally touring quintet.
Axiom Brass is supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from Indiana Arts Commission, the Crane Group and General Mills Foundation.
