The Round Barn Theatre Opens The 2019 Season With LIFE COULD BE A DREAM

The award-winning jukebox musical, Life Could Be a Dream, opens the 2019 Round Barn Theatre Season. Meet fledgling doo-wop singing group Denny and the Dreamers as they prepare to enter the Big Wopper Radio contest and realize their dreams of making it to the big time.

Round Barn alumni David Craven (Happy Days) provides the stage direction and choreography. Steven Zumbrun provides musical direction. The design team is led by Set Designer Richard Pletcher, Kate Koskinen is Costume Designer, Daniel Milligan will design the Sound, and Managing Artist Director, Ryan Schisler is the Lighting Designer.

Denny and the Dreamers are played by Conor McGarry (Denny Varney), Steven Drake (Wally Patton), Cash Maciel (Eugene Johnson) and Cody Davis (Skip Henderson). Sarah Williams plays Lois Franklin, and, the Voice of Denny's Mom. All five cast members will be performing at the Round Barn Theatre at Amish Acres for the first time.

Theatre tickets can be combined with Amish Acres famous family style Threshers Dinner or Sunday Buffet. Life Could Be a Dream will be translated by American Sign Language interpreters for the deaf on Saturday, April 20 at 8 p.m. Assisted listening devices are available upon request at all performances.

The remaining 2019 Round Barn Theatre schedule includes Plain and Fancy, Freaky Friday, Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Anne of Green Gables, The Sunshine Boys and Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 800-800-4942.

Amish Acres Historic Farm & Heritage is currently open Friday-Sunday and will be open Wednesday-Sunday beginning April 10, offering tours of the historic house and farm, farm wagon rides, documentary films, demonstrations and the famous Family Style Threshers Dinner. The Sunday Threshers Buffet is the perfect after church, before the show dining experience.
