The Main Stage, Inc. of Mishawaka, Indiana is pleased to announce their 10 year anniversary summer production will be "West Side Story", the classic American musical! West Side Story will be performed at the Bendix Theatre of Century Center in South Bend, Indiana on August 12 and 13, 2016. This story is a timeless classic that resonates to ages old and young, and brings us a powerful message in todays society.

From the first notes to the final breath, West Side Story is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Arthur Laurents' book remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever. The score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim is widely regarded as one of the best ever written. The world's greatest love story takes to the streets in this landmark Broadway musical that is one of the theatre's finest accomplishments.

Under the direction of Alex E. Price, choreography by Jeannie Chettlebugh, Music Direction by Laura Scott, and Main Stage, Inc. Executive Director Jon West, this stellar cast will enthrall you into the 1950 west side of New York City, to tell a story of love, heartbreak, and social and cultural injustice. This 25 member cast is led by Maggie Youngblood (Maria), Johnny Bennett (Tony), Abbee LaPlace (Anita), Chris Scott (Bernardo), and Michael Litteral (Riff).
