Originally from South Bend, the now Brooklyn based couple are the songwriters behind the vibrant indie folk-rock sound of THE BERGAMOT. Their uplifting songs are powered by unbreakable harmonies with seamless songwriting adeptness that combines a story of both the joys and heartaches of life.

Drawing upon influences such as Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, The Dave Matthews Band and Bob Dylan, THE BERGAMOT writes songs that are uplifting, catchy, and enchanting. Jillian's velvety alto voice blends seamlessly with Nathaniel's ethereal vocals creating dynamic harmonies that are a part of their signature sound.

Jillian and Nathaniel have an amazing gift for writing poignant songs based upon personal experiences with a relatable and emotional immediacy. Their performances are high energy, infectious, and have turned first-time listeners into instant fans. THE BERGAMOT bridges the gap between artist and audiences by engaging them on a personal level throughout the performance.

Jillian and Nathaniel have released three albums and will release their highly anticipated new record, "Tones" in late 2015. They were winners of the 2012 Bud Light Battle of the Bands and have toured extensively across North America and Europe. They have opened for All American Rejects, Young The Giant and Wiz Kalifa. THE BERGAMOT has performed at SXSW, Taste of Chicago, The Traverse City Film Festival, and Bud Lights Port Paradise Music Festival located in the Bahamas. THE BERGAMOT has graced the pages of Icon Magazine, BuzzFeed, The Chicago Tribune, CMJ, Skope Magazine, WGN Chicago, CBS, HGTV and NPR.
