THE MERCHANT OF VENICE to Play at Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, 8/18

The Merchant of Venice will play at Notre Dame's Shakespeare Festival on Thursday August 18, 2011 from 7:00 - 9:45 pm.

Shakespeare's provocative comedy, The Merchant of Venice, starts with Bassanio's quest for Portia. This road to true love is not smooth. When plans go awry, betrayal and blind anger face off against a cry for compassion and a clever young lawyer in disguise.
