Sheryl Crow will perform at the Morris Performing Arts Center on August 17, 2011 at 8 PM.
From the start of her multi-platinum debut album through 2010's "100 Miles from Memphis" record, nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow has garnered the adoration and respect from international audiences and musical peers alike. It's easy to cast CROW as strictly pop rock, but this singer-songwriters' impressive song production pulls from folk, hip hop, country and pop influences. CROW's "Tuesday Night Music Club" (1993) shot the Kennett, MO, native into international stardom. Featuring such hits as "Leaving Las Vegas," "All I Wanna Do," "Strong Enough" and "Can't Cry Anymore," "Tuesday" reached over 7 million in sales and led to Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Best Female Vocal Performance. CROW followed with her self-titled release that included an array of darker messages and themes the songwriter channeled into radio friendly hits. Among the album's hit are "Everyday Is a Winding Road," and "Home." CROW continued to release hits like "My Favorite Mistake," a cover of the Guns N Roses iconic "Sweet Child of Mine" and "Anything But Down." She has collaborated with music's biggest names including Kid Rock, Michelle Branch, The Dixie Chicks, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson and Sting among others. Her albums have sold 16 million copies in the United States and an estimated 35 million worldwide.
